Purpose of Position:
The particular focus of this role is to manage the financial and commercial team & assists the site manager on commercial & financial issues related with the contract;
Main Roles:
· Manage the team to drive the day-to-day financial & commercial issues of the contract and the control of the strategic KPI’s;
· Ensure accounting and reporting;
· Ensure the financial control of the site management ;
· Control monthly invoices & follow up payment with the client ;
· Work with the Financial Director of TKISM or other TK Commercial Manager, to ensure that the strategy & guidelines on his area is applied & maintained ;
· Support to management TKIS payroll (Timesheets ).
Responsibilities
- Act as point of contact with the customer for all commercial and contractual matters
- Attend internal and external meetings providing an escalation path for customer and sub-contractor issues
- Project a professional image for the Commercial function at all times
- Acting as commercial authority within the project team, ensuring an effective contract strategy, in process, is applied
- Ensure timely inputs are entered into company information systems
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers (internal and external) and strategic subcontractors.
- Identify approaches and alliances, which will bring business benefits to the company
- Provide support to project management/ team on commercial disputes and claims
- Documenting of claims and changes
- Lead dispute resolution on allocated contracts
- Manage contract negotiation and implementation, contract performance, subcontract management, change proposals and contract dispute resolution
- Raise the internal awareness of “risk”. Liaise and support all departments as required to ensure risk is managed effectively
- Work proactively to turn potential risks into positive outcomes for the business. Also plays a major role in the creation of the risk management plan
- Ownership of and responsibility for achieving cash targets; Invoice/cash management and ensuring the accuracy of the forecast cash receipts from billings
- Tracking and follow up claims and change orders, being part of contractual construct
Qualifications & Experience required:
· At least 8 years of experience in financial or commercial control ;
· Experience in the use of financial software tools or ERP/CMMS system is an add value;
· Excellent communication, teamwork & cross-cultural skills.
· Languages: Arabic / French & advanced English level
