Job PurposeThe purpose of this Finance Control & Compliance Manager role is to operate on behalf of and provide support to the Finance Director on all legal, financial control and compliance matters.Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day accounting team operations
- Manage the monthly closing in line with Group standards and timelines
- Support the FD in reviewing finance & accounting policies (P2P e.g. one-time vendor of authority & T&E policy; and R2R e.g. net fixed assets and intangible asset values) policies, and performing periodic asset impairment test.
- Manage the tax duties for the LOC with the support of KPMG
- Align finance operations (Regional, CBS, Embedded Finance, Corporate functions) to support special projects on one time set up and ongoing support that meets business requirements and ensure compliance with all reporting and legal requirements.
- Ensure adherence of structuring to group guidelines and local requirements.
- Implement the financial control and risk assessment framework across all business units and functions in the market.
- Provide support to FD in identifying the internal and external financial compliance requirements.
- Partner with BSC/ICSS Process SLO team leads and members for operational business partnering/efficiency projects (e.g. Go to Green, PTP improvements.) and ensure key risks mitigated while process improvements/changes are made.
- Provide support in the rectification/remediation of local finance related findings reported in internal and external audit reports.
- Provide training on finance compliance and new financial & corporate policies to all finance employees in market.
- Liaise with Corporate Treasury/BSC in capital injection requirements, dividend payments to Corporate and dividend to be received from various foreign investment companies.
- Liaise with business unit compliance officer on finance related requests and identify areas for improvement (e.g. back-end monitoring compliance).
- Lead local ERP improvement / implementation (SAP / CERPS … etc)
- Liaise with Tax COE/BSC on tax related policies and matters.
- Point of contact for Business Finance Partners to validate judgmental transactions included in the statutory accounts e.g. provisions, accruals, write offs etc.
- Responsible for the day to day management of the Country Finance Board and supporting the FD in their role as the chair.
- Developing and maintaining Finance Business Continuity Plans
- Oversee, be point of contact and manage/ coordinate with Audit and Assurance (A&A), PwC Audit, IBM quarterly review, and other internal auditor’s requirements and management of action plans CAPA on findings. Follow up with ICSS head on CAPA implementation.
- Management of external audit action plans and findings.
- Ensure robust internal controls in place and adhere and manage Sarbox requirements with guidance from Corporate if applicable.
- Support the transformation agenda and drive behavioral changes from stabilization to steady-state
- Support and provide data explanation to the FBP for the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Support R2R SLO and team on month-end and year-end close process, ensure and control quality over financial transactions and monthly financial reporting
- Produce monthly financial reports and KPI to the stakeholders, Monthly review of the Actuals with the FBP and R2R leader
- Being the Interface with BSC and regional Finance team for all matters related to Financial reporting and closing, Control and Finance Governance & Compliance
Why You?Basic qualifications:
- Degree Finance/Accounting (or different degrees with Finance qualification)
- 5 to 7+ years of Finance management experience, preferably having a similar role in an MNC or one of the big 4 audit firms
- Solid experience in accounting, reporting and audit. Business oriented, communication & presentation skills, problems solving, Team management, Fluent English skills, French mastering is a good plus
Experience in implementing / running SAP
Preferred Qualifications Experience in a multinational company
