Job Purpose
This role has multiple tasks – identifying commercial properties, residential properties, public viewing premises and users of different types of pirate decoders and devices, conducting meetings with property managers, incharge, do joint visits with sales teams for sales conversion exercise, conducting audit by counting the number of units in all types of commercial properties, based on the request by sales teams, commercial finance and internal audit teams.
Field Force – Market Intelligence:
Conduct daily visits in the market to all types of properties – public viewing, shops, buildings, Commercial properties.
Collect complete physical address of the shops, warehouses, commercial property, residential property, realtors and acquire the address of the realty company managing the property.
Collect the relevant general and technical information of the Pay TV set up of the property.
Conduct joint visits in the market on the designated days with the sales team (commercial & DTH) to convert pirates to legal OSN subscribers
Send the complete details of the properties visited on a daily basis by updating it on the daily visit report.
Classify the property based on its category (shops, buildings, real estates, hotels, camps, bar/pub):
The level of piracy being done within the property.
The effect/ impact it has in the market, surrounding or business.
The response of the pirate or pirating property after initial intimation/meeting.
Upon request and approval, physically remove all illegal dishes, devices from the property upon consent.
Do control buys from the shops that are selling pirate decoders and make deals with them for planning for raid purposes.
Join the Government authorities on the day of the raid to ensure the success of the raid by identifying the pirate devices for the authorities.
Coordinate with the commercial property (hotels, compounds, public viewing) owners, cable operators to finalize the deal. For new properties – sign the contract and for the existing contracted parties – increase the number of units.
Filed Force – Regulatory:
Interact/ liaise with the regulatory authorities for all matters to help curtail piracy and share/ escalate any matter that requires attention.
Coordinate and join with the authorities to conduct raids within the properties. Support the authorities in collecting all evidence and confiscate the pirate boxes.
Field Force – Sales Conversion:
Convince the property manager to adhere to the laws of the land and desist use of piracy within their property.
Educate the properties on the possible issues if they continue to use any form of piracy.
– Commercial properties –
o New, renewal & reinstatement of the camps for the actual no. of points and channels.
– Hotels, pubs, restaurants , public viewing –
o New, renewal & reinstatement of the camps for the actual no. of points and channels.
Depending on the response from the properties, categorize them as Positive or negative.
Share the details of the POSITIVE properties with the respective sales teams in different markets
Liaise and follow up with the relevant sales team for status of conversion.
Prepare summaries and send weekly, monthly updates and progress reports.
Share the details of the NEGATIVE properties with coordinator for further action
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience required:
Fluent in Arabic and English language – written and spoken.
Word, excel, emails.
Technical information of satellite, digital, OTT TV set up and distribution (IF, RF, IPTV)
Education requirement:
Diploma in electronics.
Technically trained for TV set ups.
