Mission
Finance business partner supporting Tender & Execution teams to monitor and challenge project performance (P&L, Cash Curve, CCO GM evolution, etc)
Create a Project controller talent pool and optimize allocation of resources with the region. Monitor resources at region level: job description, headcount audit, assessment, training, and identifying staffing requirements.
Animate the regional project controller community, making sure that the role of project controlling is understood, used, and that governances around project controlling are in place (REL, risk/opportunity analysis/review, solution database, Solutions Guidelines, IFRS) for all the entities being part of the region ( zones, RACs).
Advise the Finance & Control Leader, the Regional Execution Center Leader, on main areas of attention regarding the execution of projects (risks / loss / opportunities).
Scope & Environment
Within the Global Customer Project Transformation, the Senior Project Controller reports to the Finance & Control Leader and dotted line to Functional Project Controlling.
Key responsibilities / activities
- Liaise with Corporate, Finance & Control functions in order to help in the follow up of financial performance of project execution: Legal, Tax, Treasury, Solution Risk Managers, Contract Managers, Contract administrators, and Finance Business analysts.
- Functional animation of the project controlling community within the region. Help the finance & Control support lead make sure that the overall finance solution governance is in place ( REL, KPIs & associated actions plans, Solutions Guidelines, Risks & contracts processes) for all the entities being part of the region.
- Creation of a regional Project controlling community and network, sharing good practices, lessons learnt, creating expert referents on major processes.
- Build strong relationship with Project execution transformation project controller to ensure alignment within all regions on the role and responsibilities of project controller. Help Regional Finance & Control leader ensuring the implementation of the Financial governance as defined by the Global team : REL, KPIs, Risk & Contract, Solutions Guidelines
- As business partner for tender leader, participate to pipeline reviews, SOC. Follow hit rate, GM CCO at order intake (reporting and action plan).
- Providing to the Regional Execution Center leader with the region financial performance around project execution: margin slippage and cash performance (R-I-C).
- During Execution, participate and animate REL4 for the region; ensure REL 1/2/3 are in place in zones / countries. Participate to REL5.
- Ensure the pertinence of data loaded in Solution Database. Build KPI (GM OTD variation, GM backlog, etc…) in order to understand the performance of execution and to propose and support action plans to management.
Requirements
Education
University and/or Business School : Master’s degree or equivalent BAC+5, Finance , Control, Audit
Language requirements
Fluent in English
Experience
5 to 10 years experience in Finance & Control or Project environment
Experience in Customer Project environment is a plus
