The Head of Occupational Safety and Health will be responsible for the development, administration and management of a comprehensive safety management system to promote and ensure safe work practices and conditions of TKIS (SA) employees and for the integration of our policies with the customer’s safety programs and installations.
Responsibilities :
– Knowledge of mandatory statutory laws and regulation in the country.
– Implement specific policy, strategy, objectives, guideslines, measures, and minimum standards within the framework defined and developed by TKIS.
– Drive Health and Safety values into the business activities thereby promoting a process of innovation and a “safety first” culture Develop and implement programs and procedures to meet the objectives and targets in Health and Safety.
– Create a Health and Safety culture of awareness and collaboration within the business environment.
– Fully understand site specific safety guidelines and requirments and assist in development of site specific safety documentation.
– Advise specialists and managers on occupational safety and health management issues and organize H&S trainings.
– Deploy and drive auditing process to adhere to standards.
– Define, plan and initiate measures. Ensuring that a corrective action process, which includes tracking and reporting, is in place for safety concerns, non-conformances, compliance findings and improvement objectives.
Your profile :
– Academic degree with relevant major working experience in international projects, including construction sites.
– Deep knowledge in the business of Heath and Safety.
– Ability to work in teams as well as autonomously.
– English skills is a must.
Willingness to travel.
