Job Description For PE Drive Line
Position: Product Engineer Drive Line
Major Responsibility
- Application engineering for Drive Line
- Develop engineering proposals and obtain approvals from Customers
- Lead product training for skilled labor and first line staff
- Coordinate Proto parts development
- Interface with customers for understanding the Design details, Vehicle details, Specifications sheets, Design validation plan
- Interface with Supply chain / Quality for parts development. Continuous improvement and problem solving to improve quality and reduce cost
- Interface with technical centers for product development meetings
- Support Product development on customer programs
- Support DFMEA, Testing, Results interpretation, Design improvements
- Support successful Program implementation
- Support product change management
- Support MCIP / VAVE and develop cost effective products
Required Skills
- Firm understanding of product development
- Good understanding of testing procedure and interpretation of results
- Good level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- Good experience in problem solving both inhouse and customer locations
- Good understanding of technical requirements of the product line
- Good level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, internal and external customers
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Familiar with DFMEA, DVP, consolidating test reports
- Able to understand competitive market products and be able to extract possible product improvements
- Able to understand the customer specifications and interpret them into drawings, DVPs
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Languages required: Arabic: fluent , English: fluent, French preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience in design or manufacturing of chassis parts / transmission parts preferred
- Knowledge on product costing and process familiarity
- Experience in project management tools and processes
- Knowledge of ACAD / Unigraphics / Catia
Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 2 years of experience in the automotive industry
