Oracle Labs is looking for a talented Java developer with strong Object Oriented Skills to be part of our team and participate into exciting projects around implementing Java active libraries, and involving the GraalVM middleware.

The Project – GraalVM
GraalVM is a universal virtual machine for running applications written in JavaScript, Python, Ruby, R, JVM-based languages like Java, Scala, Kotlin, Clojure, and LLVM-based languages such as C and C++. GraalVM removes the isolation between programming languages and enables interoperability in a shared runtime. It can run either standalone or in the context of OpenJDK, Node.js, Oracle Database, or MySQL.

We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:
• 1-4 years of relevant industry work experience.
• Technical expertise on Java and other programming languages.
• Excellent understanding and experience in OOP, OOD and Design patterns.
• Good experience in Unit/Integration testing Java code
• Good experience in Git, Docker and continuous integration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience in building framework, APIs and libraries is a plus.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug libraries and middleware for GraalVM.
As a software engineer, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3+ years of software engineering or related experience.
