Our client is looking for a Senior Web & Graphic designer to be responsible for the coding, design and layout of websites according to the company’s specifications.
Responsibilities (Tasks):
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
- Be responsible for the GDPR compliances
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Drawing up detailed website specifications
- Designing sample page layouts including text size and colors
- Designing graphics, animations and manipulating digital photographs
- Registering web domain names and organizing the hosting of the website
- Presenting initial design ideas
- Coding using a variety of software
- Working with different content management systems
- Meeting relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy
- Designing the website’s visual imagery and ensuring it’s in line with company branding policy or the requirements of the client
- Proofreading content and making changes where necessary
- Editing content, debugging code and re-designing web pages
- Testing the website to ensure it is working
- Post-sales technical support
- Researching current design trends
- Continual professional development to keep up to date with new software developments.
Requirements (Your Profile) :
- Proven working experience in web programming and design
- Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
- Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript or Ruby on Rails
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Outstanding knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
- Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator skills
- Knowledge of WordPress standards and functionality
- Professional portfolio with at least 5 designs for internal review
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
- BS in computer science or a related field
