The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with the Engineering and Maintenance requirements for aeroplanes operated by Air Arabia in terms of the Air Operator Certificate [AOC).

Location: This position will be based in Casablanca, Morocco.

Reporting: This positions reports to the CEO of Air Arabia Morocco

Key responsibilities:

– To ensure that all maintenance and engineering requirements are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and approved manuals in a timely manner.

– Accountable for the definition, development, implementation and control of procedures and practices within the maintenance system in accordance with Company policies as laid down in the Air Arabia Operations Manual.

-Publishing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures necessary to ensure the safe and effective maintenance operation for all Air Arabia aircraft in compliance with Air Arabia policies, Civil Air Regulations and other relevant authorities.

-Produces the Air Arabia Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Exposition Manual [CAME], amends it when necessary, accounts for it, controls its distribution and ensures that all maintenance personnel comply with its provisions. Gains CAA approval for the MCM.-Responsible for the management of production of aircraft check scheduling and all planning tasks including back shop support as required to meet the AMP-Responsible to ensure compliance by sub contracted CAMO suppliers and or Part 21 companies as required by Airarabia-Responsible for the Management of the supply chain process including Technical purchasing areas-Assists the CEO in managing costs and controlling the budget for maintenance operations, including capital outlay for technical systems, etc.-Assesses Engineering personnel for competency and takes action to remedy weaknesses identified in their knowledge, skills and attitude.

-In consultation with the HR Department, produces training plans for engineering staff, including courses necessary to gain approval by various licensing authorities. Supervises the tailoring of courses to suit Air Arabia requirements, including aircraft types.

-Conducts reviews on the airworthiness management of Engineering/maintenance and produces reports for the Director of Engineering as needed.-Represents Air Arabia at CAA on engineering, maintenance and aircraft licensing matters.-Represents Air Arabia at Industry forum and interfaces with OEM-Ensures that a management process is in place for the safe filing of Aircraft records and other relevant aircraft documentation.-Ensures a management process is in place for the control/ monitoring and action for compliance with AD’s service bulletins received for aircraft types
