If you’d like to help us build the place to find and buy anything online, this is your chance to make history.The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all customer service operations facilities and planning for our Customer Service Center in Morocco.

Key responsibilities, deliverables and scope

  • Responsible for project management, facility development, refurbishment and maintenance, to maximize efficiency of company assets
  • Provide overall site management, coordination, planning, specification of business proposals & quotations to subcontractors
  • Survey facility, develop and document procedures to audit the facility, provide evaluations and analysis, and recommend solutions to facility infrastructure, soft facilities, involving facilities and people
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when required
  • Ensure that contracts they are fit for purpose, cost effective and incorporate appropriate Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure that contract resources are efficiently and effectively allocated to facility maintenance
  • Coach and guide all project teams (sub-contractors, maintenance engineers and commissioning engineers) throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Ensure that contracted resources deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of under-performance issues
  • Audit contractors to check that the skills and competences of contract labour are appropriate to need and they are fit to undertake the work on which they will be deployed
  • Inform contractors of projected changes in resource or work demand so that they can take appropriate action
  • Establish and operate the information systems necessary for effective scheduling and recording of contract work
  • Establish constructive relationships with contractors, support their work and help them to achieve higher performance levels
  • Take ownership of projects and their functional and financial success
  • Provide facilities value/ value analysis
  • Apply best practices from & share best practices with European counterparts

Basic Qualifications

Previous experience in Facilities Management within production/ manufacturing

  • Experience of owning facilities contracts and supplier/ contractor management
  • Hold a recognized Health and Safety Qualification together with a recognized First Aid Qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, leadership, teamwork, analysis, judgment and customer focus
  • Planning and organizing: evaluates priorities and manages appropriately; resolves conflict and communicates intentions clearly; delivers to time and need
  • A self-starter who possesses intellectual curiosity; proven team player at ease with sleeves rolled up; brings insight into facilities for operations
  • Decision Making/ Complex Problem Solving- proactively gathers information from appropriate sources, probes/considers all of the facts, considers other perspectives; refers to long term plans and goals, draws sound inferences; prioritizes key factors; acts decisively, promptly and confidently; able to operate with limited guidance
  • Quality Assurance knowledge and experience
  • Flexibility with work within a site that operates up to 24 hours a day and 7 days a week
  • Flexibility to travel when required for business reasons.
  • Excellent English and French language skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates will ideally be at least degree qualified or higher in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
