As Regional Sales Manager, you will provide business leadership to the Regional organization including establishing strategic business plans, developing marketplace opportunities, overseeing internal processes, and providing employee leadership in achievement of common goals. You will be responsible for the overall performance results of HBT in Regional, driving Regional-level, cross-GBE strategic planning processes including STRAP, AOP and MRR, and be responsible to drive integrated, cross-business selling efforts to maximize Home & Building customer opportunities and drive accelerated growth.

You will work with the GBE leadership team to identify, document and execute a growth strategy for the business. You will also work with the business and functional leaders to create and prioritize a tactical growth plan for the business. This will be accomplished by developing key relationships with main stakeholders & decision makers in targeted verticals and clients and local partnerships (e.g. with local distributors/retailers) and to fuel the project pipeline.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal executives, field sales and marketing organization, key business partners and the senior management team to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of Home & Building product portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall Home & Building responsibility for the Franco Africa Region. Coordinates resources to appropriately balance strategic objectives with financial return and efficient use of financial assets (including working capital)
  • Provides leadership of sales, marketing delivery and service in the Region
  • Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and STRAP definition and execution
  • Drive Mid Segment and E2R penetration in the region
  • Ownership for growth, sales plans, customer satisfaction and implementation of business plan
  • Integrates and focuses all resources in the organization as One Honeywell | Home & Building & team (following vertical strategies) to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and growth on mega projects
  • Maximizes market penetration of run rate sales, project and service offerings to our clients
  • Implements business management practices and policies to ensure that appropriate process and audit controls are in place
  • Participates in key customer visits/sales calls with Sales leader and sales reps.
  • Develops the skills and competencies of Sales leaders and employees and overall capability of the location to meet business objectives
  • Lead Home & Building Regional Sales activity in:

o Identifying key clients in targets verticals including consideration of consultants/contractors/EPCs to go after (Follow The Growth)

o Investigating business opportunities with significant scale and synergy to drive growth and leverage current portfolio of products, software and services

o Identifying cross-selling opportunities that fully utilize the breadth of Honeywell’s product software service offerings across all businesses

o Leading the partner /distributor Partner Program

o Defining marketing and business plans aligned to the strategic plan

o Developing forward-looking product, software and service plans that enable profitable growth into the future

  • Makes employment decisions, provides performance coaching and management, annual reviews, and compensation recommendations
  • Use robust management operating system to drive results

REQUIREMENTS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A substential experience with P&L exposure and accountabilities is highly valued
  • A proven track reckord in sales
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English and French language

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leadership, effective cost containment, cash management, and revenue
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and present at an executive level
  • Ability to build and lead high performance teams
  • Experience leading over 30 employees including first level managers, sales people, and technicians
  • Understanding of HVAC, Lighting, Combustion controls, Integrated Building automation, Fire, Security
  • MBA or similar preferred
  • Self-starter
  • Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated business planning and problem solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to forge solid relationships and manage across a broad and geographically dispersed business
  • Ability to remain calm, focused and efficient under pressure
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to identify issues, requirements and opportunities for improvement
  • Proven track record of working in a channel sales environment
  • Knowledge of Home & Building’s businesses would be a plus
  • Willing to travel >40% of the time
