Activities:

Attached to the purchasing manager group, the main mission of the packaging manager is to:

-providing ECCBC’s businesses with the required products and/or services under his/her responsibility from the approved suppliers at the most competitive conversion cost within the required timing and quality specifications.

-contribute to develop and maintain updated “Category Strategies” and the Supplier Panel Management for each category of products or services managed, aligned with the short and long term business plan of the company, ensuring continuous cost and performance improvements are achieved.

Among the most important functions:

· Define and execute the purchasing strategy of the managed categories, ensuring their company-wide implementation

· Participate in the purchasing budget’s definition jointly with the Ingredients & Commodity Buyer of the managed categories and Report to the Group Purchasing Manager information related to:

· Follow, analyse and evaluate the suppliers markets of the different countries in close collaboration with the SRM Buyer

· Know and follow the spend of the managed categories jointly with the Ingredients & Commodity Buyer and Also ensure that all the article / supplier / contract information is available on the system

· Analyse, participate in the supplier’s selection and negotiation and Prepare the tenders jointly with SRM and Ingredients & Commodity Buyers

· In the countries where the Purchasing function exists, closely coordination and cooperation with the Country Purchasing Responsible and their team of Country Category Managers while applying the Responsibility Matrix

· Participate in the definition and implementation of technical and commercial projects relative to his/her category/ies, as requested

· Follow the suppliers’ performance while developing a professional relationship/partnership with the supplier base under his/her responsibility

· Identify and resolve any situation of maverick buying existing in the bottlers

· Participate in the CEPG (Cross Enterprise Procurement Group) program for the assigned categories

· Maximize payment terms and minimize total inventories at the optimal total cost

Education & Experience

· University graduate, BAC +4 / 5 / University Diploma, Business Administration or Engineering are preferred

· Languages: French and English (fluent), Arabic (if applicable in country)

· Trade Law, International Business

· IT: advanced user in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

· SAP user experience

· Experience:

o Senior profile: + 5 / 7 years of purchasing experience, with budget responsibility and proven successful negotiation of contracts.

Experience required in the following sectors: FMCG, Pharma industry or Cosmetic

Frequency of business trips : 30%
