Job Description

Implement and follow the Global Integrated Supply Chain Processes in order to optimize Supply chain operations for all Novartis divisions. This shall be manifested by meeting required customer service levels and providing superior results at the optimal total supply chain costs.

Focus on Process Understand and follow the Global Integrated Supply Chain processes. Supervise the Customs clearing process and related costs; Act as Customs & Trade Compliance Coordinator. Manage Warehouse and Distribution operations for all finished goods, including clearance of goods, receipt at warehouse, warehousing and distribution to customers; monitor movement of products to appropriate quality locations (quarantine to saleable, saleable to hold/destruction), Manage the cycle counts, the full count and stock reconciliation. Manage the Warehouse & Distribution KPIs. Manage the annual SCM Technical Operations budget preparation, Monitor distribution costs and meet with budget/forecast through management of costs and driving cost avoidance/savings through the year Proactively manage continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Manage strategic projects related to network logistics changes, product change management, distribution deals, and other business critical projects. Ensure consistency of W&D SOP’s. Focus on Data Quality Ensure Document record management Ensure Accurate data reporting to local, regional and global teams. Provide accurate stock reconciliations, cycle counts and other documents required for the operations and in compliance with GDP, Novartis and local applicable guidelines. Focus on Customer and Stakeholders Satisfaction Ensure stock available on time and no stock out because of W&D operations issues. Ensure accuracy of inventory Enhance customer service level Support strategic and operation supply chain initiatives in line with SCM team Focus on Communication Act as Supply Chain’s point of contact person (SPOC) for W&D service provider, Maintain relationship and communication among SCM, Marketing, W&D service provider, Toll manufacturer, RA, QA, Finance and Commercial Operations.

Demonstrated track record of leadership and strong attention to detail. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Computer Modeling Knowledge of statistical and mathematical computer programs and modeling techniques. Ability to apply and analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates Business Planning Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies to perform short and long-term business planning. Ability to incorporate strengths, weaknesses, external opportunities and threats into business plan strategies and execution tasks Ensuring warehousing and distribution management activities inventory management, customs clearance follow-up, ensuring smooth communication with the third party W&D and contract management, frequent inspections, performing internal and regional reporting, support to demand planning in order to ensure CSL achievement. Accountability of W&D Budget Management including preparation of annual budget, variance and forecasting reporting in line with GSC processes

Minimum Requirements

BS degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, Business administration, Engineering, or similar Logistics / Supply Chain qualification preferred French / English, Arabic preferred 5+ years experience in similar roles in supply chain in a multinational organization and/ or pharmaceutical industry is required
