Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for our Casablanca, Morocco location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Undertake investigations, quality projects and data/statistical analysis exercises for the department to support customer and business initiatives and quality improvement.
  • Contribute effectively in cross-functional quality improvement activity.
  • Contribute/lead as appropriate continuous improvement and site specific quality projects.
  • Support quality system and process reviews to ensure Plant QMS is robust and opportunities for improvement are addressed.
  • Become familiar with Hexcel software systems, global and local, used to support QC and QA with a view to assisting with problem resolution both internally and externally.
  • As appropriate, lead customer QMS specification reviews, including the creating and maintenance of relevant procedures as appropriate.
  • Support in the resolution of internal and external customer queries with relevant RCCA.
  • Understand and support the maintenance of site AX2012, Pilgrim and Velocity systems for customer specification requirements and internal documentation systems.
  • Undertake all quality activity in compliance with all relevant customer/material specifications, quality standards and health, safety & environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Champion ancillary tasks (including 5S, LEAN, continuous improvement, etc.) in support of the day-to-day running of the Quality Department.
  • Effectively work with suppliers and assure requirements are implemented and compliant.
  • Analyze technical requirements of contracts, drawings and specifications to develop plans for product quality.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation when required by customer or internal system.
  • Know and apply all applicable customer specifications and procedural requirements.
  • Assure compliance to required systems and procedures.
  • Conduct internal and external audits as required.
  • Any task set by the Quality Manager/Supervisor that is supporting the Quality Department function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or other related field from four-year college or university
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of work experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Strong technical analysis skills.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Certified Lead Auditor training preferred.
  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
  • Good communication and interaction skills.
  • Ability to read and analyze drawing and specifications with MBD.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Strong statistics background in support of Six Sigma activities.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
