We have a challenging opening for the position of Finance & Operations Manager, based in Morocco. As a Finance & Operations Manager, you will be a member of the Management Team will report to the General Manager, Morocco.

About The Department

F&O is the department responsible for the day to day activities of the affiliate, including, financial transactions, financial planning and reporting, management of the company’s cash flow and assets, all IT activities including administration of the company’s IT infrastructure, software and business IT applications, as well as local implementation of all global IT projects, and all logistics details (supply management, forecasts with commercial teams).

The Position

As Finance & Operations Manager you are responsible for developing and driving the Finance operations in Novo Nordisk Morocco, managing the Supply chain, running strong Procurement plans and supporting execution of strategies at Novo Nordisk, Morocco.

A Short Overview & Expectations From Each Functional Area

This role requires high level of understanding and preparedness in building strategic Financial Plans which will impact the business for the short, medium and long term. This entails meticulously budgeting and forecasting exercises, getting deeper insights from the market and devising active Management Information systems to support the management team in making informed decisions. Additionally, this person will play an active role in supporting the management on the pricing framework and effectively working with the external & internal stakeholders in implementing our pricing plans. Finally, a strong, transparent and efficient collaboration is expected as part of the functional reporting to the Business Area to contribute actively to the success of the affiliate.

On the Accounting front this role must ensure smooth functioning of the all company transactions, build strong control systems & timely reconciliations to ensure high level of audit & compliance readiness.

Supply Chain for Morocco operations involves actively liaising with strategic partners in our contract manufacturing facility & in the distribution network. It also involves maintaining a good operating system which monitors production plans, inventories at various stock points, sales forecasts and regular alignment with local distributor.

The finance & Operation Manager will also act as the point of contact & coordinator for all local Legal matters.

Procurement & Admin management needs a sharp eye on strong benchmarking exercises, collaborating with our colleagues in GSC & ensuring that our office assets are well managed.

Overall this role demands a very strong leader with a vision, who can work in a challenging yet rewarding environment and carries the values of the organisation with his team. All this should result in achieving strong financial KPIs, building an effective and well-functioning team and ensuring a sustainable business in Morocco.

Qualifications

A high degree in Finance/Accounting or other relevant fields is required with 6+ years of finance experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. We expect that you are a proven leader with a track record of successfully executing complex projects/initiatives with demonstrated people management skills and can successfully direct winning team with diversified functions. You have demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities and strong analytical skills. You should also be a good communicator with a high energy level and able to collaborate effectively with external and internal key stakeholders. You are able to engage not only with your team but also with the whole affiliate to ambitious goals, innovative approach, proactive and solution focused.
